Metallbau Emmeln develops and manufactures technical containers as integrated system solutions — from the initial concept through engineering and structural analysis to technical integration, assembly, and documentation. The goal is to provide a standards-compliant, durable, and operationally reliable container solution for every application.
Customer-specific engineering & technical design
Every project starts with customer-specific engineering precisely aligned with the technical, structural, and operational requirements. This includes the mechanical design of the container shell, structural design in accordance with Eurocode 3 (DIN EN 1993), FEA calculations for structural optimization, and HVAC and ventilation design based on VDI 2078. Fire detection and suppression concepts in accordance with DIN EN 15004 as well as corrosion protection in accordance with DIN EN 12944 are also considered on a project-specific basis.
Certifications, inspections & standards-compliant documentation
Metallbau Emmeln supports all required certifications and inspections by independent testing bodies. These include inspections by TÜV, Dekra, and DNV / Germanischer Lloyd, CSC certifications in accordance with ISO 668, AwSV requirements for systems handling substances hazardous to water, and WHG requirements under the German Water Resources Act. Upon request, CE-compliant designs and project-specific conformity documentation can be prepared.
Steel fabrication & welding technology
Steel fabrication is carried out according to the highest quality standards. Welding is performed in accordance with DIN EN 1090, execution class EXC3, and manufacturing tolerances comply with DIN EN ISO 13920, class B. This results in robust, durable container structures for demanding industrial applications.
Surface treatment & coating
For long-term container protection, surfaces are prepared by sandblasting and then coated using the airless method in accordance with DIN EN 12944. The coating systems are designed according to the required corrosion protection class (C3–C5) and the environmental conditions.
Interior fit-out, insulation & technical equipment
The interior fit-out of the containers includes wall, floor, and roof systems with acoustic, thermal, and fire protection insulation, as well as optional cleanroom solutions or other interior cladding systems. In addition, technical equipment such as electrical installations (lighting, outlets, distribution systems), crane systems, and customer-supplied components such as control cabinets, transformers, and generators can be fully integrated.
Delivery, assembly & commissioning preparation
The containers are delivered ready for operation and assembled on site if required. By preassembling the technology at the factory, installation and commissioning times can be significantly reduced and project timelines shortened.
Documentation, CE conformity & material traceability
Customer-specific technical documentation can be created for every project. This includes CE declarations of conformity, assembly and maintenance manuals, and full material traceability for installed components and materials.
