Metallbau Emmeln

Your partner for custom container solutions.

Container solutions for gas pressure regulating and metering systems – flexibly adaptable, implemented in compliance with standards, and engineered for safe gas distribution.

Gas pressure regulating stations (GDRA) and gas pressure regulating and metering stations (GDRMA) are key components of the gas supply infrastructure and essential for the safe and efficient distribution of natural gas – from the production site to the end user. GDRA systems regulate gas pressure at the transfer points of the respective networks.

Metallbau Emmeln containers are custom-built in accordance with the DVGW code of practice and ATEX directives. This enables projects to be implemented significantly faster and container solutions to be adapted more flexibly to site requirements.

Applications

Container solutions for gas supply networks cover key functions in gas treatment, pressure regulation, preheating, and measurement, control, and automation technology.

Filter Container

A filter container is used for filtration, gas volume measurement, and condensate discharge.

Gas Pressure Regulating Station Container

A gas pressure regulating station reduces gas pressure to protect end users. The pressure reduction causes the gas to cool significantly.

Boiler Room Container

In the boiler room, the gas is preheated to counteract the Joule-Thomson effect during gas expansion and to prevent impairments to the gas pressure regulating station.

Instrumentation and Control Container

An instrumentation and control container is equipped with electrical measurement, control, and automation technology and controls or monitors the gas pressure regulating station.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The mobile and fully equipped containers can be flexibly deployed at multiple locations and under varying operating conditions. Piping, sensors, valves, and fittings can be pre-assembled at the factory, resulting in short on-site installation times.

Yes. The container shell is insulated and clad with perforated metal sheets. This results in a proven reduction in noise.

The container is coated with a corrosion-resistant finish in accordance with DIN EN 12944-2 and therefore has a long service life. This also makes it possible to install it at ground level.

Yes, transport by road is possible, provided that traffic regulations are observed.

Yes. Detailed planning of the customer-supplied components—such as piping, valves, and fittings—in the 3D model ensures smooth assembly at the manufacturer’s plant.

Yes. By using, for example, anti-slip checker plate or conductive coatings in walkway areas, as well as stainless steel perforated sheets, it is possible to create slip-resistant walkways while also ensuring that the walls and floors have conductive surfaces.
